My dad who eats eggs for breakfast every morning needs to lower his cholesterol, but he can't cut out eggs because they're the only thing in the morning he can eat that will keep him filled (and I tell ya he is not pleasant when he's hungry).

What are some things I should or shouldn't feed to the girls that will produce eggs with lower cholesterol? These days they're mostly kept in a run with a diet of standard layer feed and table scraps.

Any and all advice will be appreciated, thanks!!

More greenery and high protein foods, less starch. Meal worms, earth worms, fish scraps. I'm not sure about red meat's effect on cholesterol level in eggs. Make sure they get lots of fresh veggies of all sorts, including grass, dandelion, brassicas. Since they can't forage free range you really have to supply them with a lot of supplemental greenery and bug/other protein to make up for what they're missing. Good luck!
