feeding mom and babies

My broody hen will hatch her babies the next few days, what kind of feed do I give to Mom and her babies? chick starter? I have laying mash . too strong?

Chick starter is fine. Laying mash is not good for chicks and younger chickens. The high calcium content damages their organs.
