Looking down on someone's intelligence or capabilities, solely because of their age, does not make you look wiser. It makes you look like a cranky old fool. Someone slap some sense into me if I ever get this way.

Also, this is not directed towards anyone at BYC. If anything, I see the opposite here: more experienced chicken keepers lifting up the newcomers.

BYC is a nice little world unto itself. It's a very nice place to hang out, mostly because of the wonderful people here, but also kudos to the mods who help keep it that way.

There are websites you can go to look up what percentage actually goes to the cause and the charity’s rating.

I can't stomach know-it-alls. Not only are they insufferable to be around, but they bring out my worst trait: passive aggressive sarcasm. I can only bite my tongue for so long.
