I have been trying to find links regarding feeding my bantams but not having much success. Just wondering what everyone is feeding theirs. Mine are two months old and eating starter which is now being mixed with a homemade blend we get from a local man but it is specific for layers. I have been giving shredded carrots and zucchini, meal worms etc. What I am wondering is if they require anything special. The store bought chicken pellets are way to big for them at this point. They do get into the grass and are enjoying that. Links to information and advice is appreciated.

Mine eat storebought commercial feed, including pellets. I feed layer sometimes, chick feed others and feather fixer when needed.

I feed everyone crumbles, bantams and large breeds alike. Most feeds are available as crumbles. If you have pellets and think they are too big, you can add water and make a mash.
Make sure your chicken feed constitutes 90% of their diet. Those other foods will dilute the nutrition needed for growth and eventual egg production.

Thank you everyone. I will add some water to those pellets to use them up because they are definitely too big. Also will lower the treats amount, I think I might be too excessive with that.

I dont like crumbles because they are too dusty. I mainly give pellets to all above 12 weeks. Even the bantams. On hot days I add water to make a mash as a treat. And that way I also know they are getting water. My birds are a bit particular on their feed.
