Hi! just curious I am wondering if it is a must to feed oyster shells..And if so is there anything else to feed them to take place of the Oyster shells

Many will say you don't need it if you have a good layer feed.

It is my opinion, that you should still have some out free choice. Some chickens just need more than others. It's SUPER CHEAP.

If you free range...they'll get a lot of calcium from the bugs.

Here's the coop were making so they'll be able to pick and scratch at bugs...

BTW I will just do what you do just keep some out for them..

Your chickens will thank you for that!

PS...you can also feed them sour dairy (milk, cottage cheese, sour cream etc)...You know, the one that ended up in the back of your fridge!
