Ive read a lot of theses feeds are aimed at production. Either extra laying or weight gain. If I were to keep a chicken as a pet, should I consider other feeds? Will a pet hen gain extra not needed weight? Is too many eggs a possible concern? Is there a feed for a healthy chicken lifestyle not aimed at eggs or meat?

Purina Layena or Purina Start & Grow feeds are specifically designed for the back yard flock owner who considers her/his hens family. They provide excellent nutrition to support the health and longevity of backyard and pet chickens.

Is there a product directed more towards meat production than the Layena?
