Feeding problem

I am new at these birds
I have Golden pheasant an Quail and a few chicks all are on starter food
which is ground to a fine powder but they waste so much i want to try to get them stated on Granules.
I use the 2 kg feeders in and they are empty every day ,all over the floor
Is this normal?
What to do???

Try hanging the feeder off the ground. This way they can't scratch at there food. You need to hang (or it on something to raise it off the ground) it so it is about chest high. Good luck

Last week I built pvc chicken feeders for my chicken the amount of feed they waste now is minimal Its made of 4" pvc sewer pipe it is l shaped with 3 2.5" drilled in the top. They were wasting some so I kept raising the feeder up till the right hite now they get feed out but cant bill the feed all over. there are some on this sight to look at I just googled PVC chicken feeders & got plenty of ideas. Luck to ya!
