I live a few miles from the north east coast of england and can collect any amount of free seaweed but my chickens just had a quick and walked off as it seemed to tough for them to eat. How do I dry it and make it into a powder to sprinkle on their food, is it just a case of air drying and the blitzing it in a blender?
Or how do you guys get them to eat it?

My kids frequently bring home buckets of stuff (seaweeds, shells, crab shells) from the beach. We live less than a mile from it. I soak it all in a big bucket, give it all a through rinse, then spread it out in a sunny spot. The seaweeds typically are very crumbly once dried, except for bull kelp, which turns to leather. I don't put it in a blender, I just let the flock pick through it when they free range.

are they not after the sand fly larvae or do they eat the dried seaweed
