These 5 I just got are my first Guinea keets. They were 4 weeks old when I got them and fully feathered except for their heads. They are getting a 22% starter (non-medicated) which is all i could find. The bag and brochure says for all poultry, but who knows?
Anyway, when are they old enough to be on the 16% feed?
When are they old enough to be fed other things like seeds and when can they be fed grit?
When do their head decorations start growing?
Are they different between males and females?
So, mine are now 5 weeks old. I heard at least 1 of them chirping in a 2 syllable whistle, does that mean they are females or is it too early for that behavior to start?
I had been keeping them in a large dog crate, but moved them outside to the old pigeon cage yesterday. They seem very happy in their roomy new digs. I will be working on a large covered yard for them next.
Thanks!
