Feeding the flock with a rooster

We are picking up chicks in the next few days and we will be getting our first rooster chick with this group. We use Kalmbach feeds. As far as raising a rooster, can we still feed this group of chicks the 18% chick starter or should we use the 20% flock maker?

when my chicks were young they were all on chick feed, and my youngster Cockrell is now a beauty I keep my chickens purely for eggs and pets and they live on corn, grit and grass ...as for a specific diet you would have to ask the professionals

I’ve always fed the chicks the same chick starter. I’ve raised 12 roosters so far and all have been grown up very large and healthy.

I would choose the 20%. 18% would be acceptable.
