I'm new to chickens and looking for info on a TIME-LINE of sorts on "what type of feed" to give my chickens and at "what ages"...

From chick to egg-laying age?

RIR's and BR...

Thank you for your help and advice

from birth to POL, which can be 18 weeks....(My BR started at 18 weeks) I feed Chick Starter...

ONCE they start laying, I switch mine to Layer Feed with Oyster Shell on the side, they will free feed on this
IF they need it.

Some people give Flock Raiser, with oyster shell on the side, if they have a lot of roos for example, who don't need the
added calcium found in Layer Feed.

**I do have 3 EE pullets at 30 weeks not laying yet....so you can keep all hens on Starter till ALL start laying..just offer
the oyster shell on the side for strong shells. Then once all are laying you can migrate in the Layer Feed.

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain it as you did...FANTASTIC!

THANK YOU!!!
