Feeding wild geese

Can domestic goose feed be fed to wild geese?

a few years ago... (like 20+) people in Canada... yes Im canadian...LOL we started feeding the canada geese at the parks and stuff... now we are so over populated they are being called nuisance animals... they were responsible for damaging the plane that had to do the emergency landing on the Hudson..
