I know some chickens eat more than others but how long should a 25k bag of layers last 6 australorps ?

Im honestly not sure, but if you leave food out for them at all times then there should be not too much to worry about. If the feeders are in the yard and you free range, then other birds also enjoy the feed as much as chickens! If you feel that they are eating excessively and have not de-wormed them recently, then maybe give that a go - otherwise, if they are giving you eggs and are healthy, i would not be overly concerned.

On average each chicken will eat 1/4 pound of feed a day. I would fill their feeders and it should last for some time.
