feeding

I'm relatively new to quails and people tell me all sorts of different things.

What do you feed your quail?

What kind of quail? I am new to quail too, I feed gamebird starter that is 28% protien, If I couldn't get that then I would feed chicken food that had the highest protien.

I have the Japanese and two Chinese Painted.

Also live in Australia. Sadly not the same supplies as America.

I would just feed the highest protien food you can find

None medicated high protein like gamebird & turkey crumble. I think in the wild, they feed on bug and insect and whatever they can find. You can also use none medicate chick starter feed, but not growth as fast.
