Feeling sad

I am listening to my pandora radio Christmas station while I am doing my migrain delayed house work. I am very sad

becuase our daughter and her family were supposed to come out from KY to spend Christmas with us. Becuase of her ex-boyfriend in OR who is seeking custody of their two daughters neglected to send her the court papers that said she could call from KY instead of traveling all the way there for a hearing. It used up all their Thanksgiving and Christmas traveling money. Something always seems to keep us from spending Christmas with all of our grandkids, so I'm used to it.

I was just especially counting on this Christmas as our daughter is being deployed to Kabul the begining of March next year and this was going to be the only chance to see her before she goes for 15 months.

I greatly feel for all our brave soldiers families that have been separated from them for several Holidays or forever.

Because of different circumstances over the years (mainly ex-boyfriend) we have not seen her or our grandkids much over the last several years. I'm sorry that I am whinning, I hate whinners, but I needed to express my saddness to someone. Thanks for your patience.

Too bad you couldn't go back there, although beleive me, I understand the money thing. Small comfort, but know that you will be together in spirit and maybe some miracle will happen where you can see her before she is deployed. Be blessed, Suz

....... I have been in a similiar place. My heart goes out to you......must be hard on her also.... like Jeau said though....in spirit with you always though......

I will continue to pray you will see her before she deploys......My son has not been deployed yet.is coming home from job training for the holidays (Army) but he will be in Feb..scares me to death..... I am so proud of all these young people who sacrifice all for us

I'm so sorry....maybe she could make you a video or you make one for her while she's away. Having been in the military I understand the hardship. I'ts depressing to be away from those you love for extended periods of time like that.

Both our DD and our DSIL are in the army, he was supposed to be deployed already but it was delayed maybe until she gets back. With the military you don't ever know. We are looking into getting three web cams, but we know NOTHING about computer stuff. I need to ask my BIL. I keep hoping that they will surprise me, but I know that won't happen. If I could have found a job the last few months then I could have bought them tickets. Oh well, god has his plan, everything happens for a reason and when things are supposed to happen they will.
