Feeling the urge again!!!

You know I though that those commercial ones must really draw power and this way, I can simply turn on a new unit as needed rather than run say a 3000 egg unit which has certainly got to draw on the power unless it has switches for each of the levels.

Wow! That's quite a list! Maybe you should have bought that uber commercial one on ebay that was posted a while back, it held a few thousand at least!

I would LOVE a cabinet 'bator. Space for babies could be an issue though, if only I had power out in the shed for brooders...

Nope, you might as well just give in and join us on the dark side.

What a bunch of enablers you are!

My thoughts, exactly. Plus, I don't do staggered hatches, I just pick another incubator and track new dates in it.

Ah yes, both good points.

I would be horribly tempted to fill the big one up though I have no idea what I would do with all those babies!

I am doing staggered hatches in 2 bators. I'd like to get a 3rd and then I can set weekly without needing to move eggs.

If I had a cabinet I could use a single unit, I'd like that.

If you enjoy hatching and watching them grow so much have you considered selling them. You know watching grow until they are starter chicks and them. Good luck and have fun and enjoy life.

Man!!! Everyone on here is TERRIBLE about helping controlling the hatching urge! I am very new to chickens. Mine are 21 and 24 weeks old (bought through My Pet Chicken as day olds). NOW I have started lurking on the incubating forums and am really really really trying to convince myself it isn't a good idea. I live in town! I am only allowed 3, and I do in chicken math 2+2+4+1+1+1+1= 3 (right?)

Does everyone on here live on a farm or acreage? I came here looking for all the down sides to hatching eggs and I didn't see ONE!
