Hi Nat! There was swelling at the top of my hens feet, in between the toes. And she was limping a bit. That's what made me post the pics, and since I was taking pics of the tops, figured I might as well get some of the bottoms also. Thank god I did, so I could be told where to look. I think I'm going to start checking the bottoms of their feet weekly now, and catch it early if I can. It hurts her, which could just make me cry
I shouldn't have waited a week to see if it was going to go away. I feel so guilty.
I'm going to soak and re-appy today, and I did buy drawing salve yesterday when I bought the rest of my supplies. Maybe I'll try that too. I also ordered the koi fish medicine I saw on another post. When that comes in, if she's still having a problem, I'll try that. She's hobbling around with her bandaged feet right now. I can't tell if it's because it's more painful for her to walk after surgery, or if it's because the bandages feel strange on her feet. I don't want to wait to check her until it's time to do her again, but I will, because I don't want to aggravate her wounds anymore than necessary.
poor hen:-( Im going to change into dirtball clothes and go check every hen right now-and while Im at it take photos of all my 10 weekers and younger to post about sex! please no bumblefoot please no bumblefoot please no bumblefoot!!
