Fell From Heaven to My Back Yard

:welcome

It sounds like you've been adopted...will you be getting her flock buddies?
Thank you NFC, I am going to try and get her at least one buddy to teach her how to be a chicken! Ha Ha! Giving her daily walks, have to lift her off her roost every day or she will stay up there. When I do, she becomes a chicken in my backyard, but she is a little hesitant to get down. Giving her walks gives her courage it seems. Guess will need to get her a buddy to help her become braver than a chicken.

Finally was able to upload some pics of our bird that fell from the sky. Call her Wisty since she loves to hide inside the wisteria bush.

Since it has cooled down a bit from 108 degree temperatures, Wisty is a bit more active. She loves seeded watermelon and other seeded melons. And she will jump up and take pieces of pancakes out of my hand. Great ability to judge and grab :p never thought I would see a chicken leap into the air for food!

Ummm, I think she's a he. Can you get a full profile picture and make sure the saddle feathers are clear? They are the feathers on the lower back in front of the tail.
If they are long and pointy he's a cockerel.
