Felted Wool Slippers

One time we felted a sweater that was a men's large and it fit my 5-YO sister so perfectly that we didn't even bother using it for the project. Sooooo warm, and it was this pretty grey-blue color.

Decided to sculpt the heel too as I hear this type of slipper starts to stretch and doesn't fit as well. Hope that will help keep it snug around the ankles.

They are simpler looking than I'd like, and an obvious first attempt. I'm also worried how well they will fit his feet. D: On the plus side, I put two layers of wool, three layers of polyfil stuff (plus a bit more for the foot arch), and two layers of canvas type material on the bottom, so they are super comfy, warm, and soft to walk in. They may not fit him, but they will be comfy darnit. XD

Great slippers! I'd like to try your method. I'm knitting a pair for the BF with wool yarn and THEN felting it, but I think I'd like to try recycling a sweater.

Have you used anything on the bottom to make them non-slip? I've learned that "Tulip" brand dimensional fabric paint works well on the base. You can make the lines whatever pattern you want, squiggles, a heart, etc. and it helps a bit.
