The Sweethearts
Chirping
Hi everyone, I'd be very grateful for any help with this. My sweet little girl Yenna is not eating from this morning which is totally unlike her. She is very vocal and always hungry but today she isn't eating and isn't talking much. She is a Khaki Campbell and is about 9 months old. We've never had an issue with her before she's always been a happy healthy girl.
Sorry if i'm rambling but i'm so worried and I just don't know if I'm worrying for nothing or not.
I've offered her many different treats today but she's turned her beak up at them. She is drinking and also smacking her beak together (like she's eating but she's not). I was just sitting with her and some water came out from her mouth which i haven't seen before.
Is this a common issue with ducks (first time duck parent here!)? I'm happy to take her to the vet but they kind of just don't seem to know about ducks or care about her which is not on in my book. I would do anything for her so I want to make sure she is ok.
Her boyfriend, Fury, hasn't left her side all day and he isn't showing any of the same signs of being sick as Yenna is.
Any help or advice for my little sweetheart would be amazing.
