Female Duck Passed Away :/ what happened?

Hey everyone,
If you have been following me you know that I've recently had a female duck (6 months old) who had a leg injury on both legs. I was taking extra care of her to make sure she had clean fresh water to dunk her head in since she was immobile/unable to get into the duck pool, and I also made sure she had food, shade, etc. and I'd often go outside and move her in and out of the coop to her favorite relax spots and make sure she wasn't all alone. Well she all of the sudden was found dead when I got home last week :/ I do not understand? she wasn't showing any other signs of illness, she was alert, eating/drinking, the only thing was she hasn't been able to walk very much for the last couple of weeks. Is there something I did wrong? I just feel horrible.. I miss her a lot and I wish I knew what happened so I know better.

I think that when animals lose mobility, it can affect multiple systems in their bodies. It’s possible that her body systems weren’t able to function effectively in her immobile condition. I’m so sorry for your loss! There are things we can’t prevent.

So sorry for your loss could there have been a possibility she was egg bound? That can affect walking. Like @Duckworth said some things we just can’t prevent.
