Hello everyone so my Rouen female aka vanilla is 36 weeks and I’m wondering when will she start laying eggs and I don’t have any artificial light so I don’t know, this is her

Sometime in the spring when the daylight period reaches 12-14 hours, she will start laying.

Mine rarely lay until after winter is done. I don't expect anything from them in their first year as Fall and Winter hit before they are ready.

omg I have exciting news! So I went outside and I was just walking around but then I had a feeling to look in the nesting box part of there house and I looked and she laid her very first egg!!!!! I’m so happy and I was so surprised cause the daylight hours are only at 11 right now and she’s 10 months old but I’m so excited
