Hi all,
I have a sweet female Duclair that has suddenly developed some alarming symptoms. She is about a year old and has started to wobble and fall when she walks. She looks like she’s on a see-saw either falling forward or backward. I have given her activated charcoal in case of some kind of poisoning. That was a day ago. I also have been giving her extra vitamins and electrolytes. Day one her feathers were ruffled. Today she is rapidly losing feathers. She is still eating drinking and pooping like normal.
None of my other ducks are exhibiting any of the same symptoms. They are all happy and healthy as far as I can tell. Has anyone experienced something similar and had their duck recover? What would you suggest for helping her? Unfortunately the nearest vet that will see ducks is three hours away.
