Another option too...Holderread Waterfowl Farm has adult geese you can reserve now and they will ship when the weather cools off in the fall...here is their available adult page as of today:

Here is a pic of a tufted roman for you

I hope she is nesting somewhere and you just missed her. Give the mate time to find her for you before you give up hope though.

the Roman Tufted are very mild tempered and smaller(10-12 pds).Look on Murray McMurray and Holderread for photos- I don't know how to post pic's yet. Sounds like the panther got her. So sorry.

Bizz...I feel really bad about your female and the male missing her and feeling so lonesome. I have the Roman Tufted too here in Nebraska. I love them! You would not regret getting a pair - to keep your male company. I just moved my four baby Sebbies (several weeks old) out of the barn and into my large goose pen with my Roman's - they immediately accepted them into the flock. This is not the first time either. They did the same thing to four hatchlings (bator hatch) earlier this Spring. They have a very peaceful nature.

I hope it works out for you and them!

I've been watching for your post and was so hoping you would find her. My heart just sank when I read the posting about you neighbor's ducks..maybe she really is gone. So sorry...good luck.

Keep us posted...okay?
