female Guinea Fowl with swollen abdomen

I have a female guinea fowl that has a swollen lower abdomen, like a bag hanging. She is eating, drinking, and foraging as usual. She is about two years old.
Have any of you had experience with this or know what might be the cause? Any helpful information is appreciated. Thank you

Hard to find info on guineas per say so you have to go with poultry/chicken and compare. The pros will assess whether I'm on the right track or not, but this sounds like what you describe.

I’m sorry to hear that your guinea hen is sick. Have you seen the Diseases forum of BYCs? Most guinea fowl illnesses are treated like chicken illness. The Diseases forum is a busy place but there are knowledgeable people there who may be able to help. Best of luck with your sick Guinea hen!
