Female ? Is this a barred rock ?

Could y'all help me out...... I know the black chic in the pic is barred rock but not sure if its a female and the other chic I'm not sure is this supposed to be a barred rock ? There were a few of these mixed in with what was supposed to be the barred rock group the girl there thought it may be an ameraucana any thoughts ?

Your other chick looks like one of my Ameracaunas to me. I do think there are other breeds that have chicks that look similar to your 'stripey' chick though. It's definitely not a Barred Rock like the other one you have pictured!

Looks like an Easter Egger and possibly a Barred Rock pullet. Most "Ameraucanas" sold at feed stores are actually Easter Eggers. They are my very favorite

Usually shades of green or blue. Mine are my very best layers. They lay like champs regardless of the weather and have yet to go broody.

kind of early to tell for sure if the barred rock is female

If the breed is actually barred rock, they are easy to sex early. Pullets get a round yellowish white patch of down on the top of the head. Cockerels have a more irregular shaped patch.
