female magpie sleeping and off balance

Our one year old female magpie has fallen ill today. She has slept most the day and acts as if she cannot hold her head up. Resting her beak on the ground and not supporting her neck. When she walks, she is very off balance. She has hardly eaten or wanted to drink today. Just yesterday she was walking around quacking and eating and playing like normal. Our male is standing by her side quacking and nudging her. We don't know how to help her!

Im so sorry she is giving you trouble.
It is extremely important to get her hydrated while you work on figuring out what is causing her to feel so bad.

Can you offer her water every 20 mins or so by holding a spoon to her beak?

Im sorry she isnt doing well.

It sounds like she may have botulism.Which would explain the Limberneck and balance.I would take her to a avian vet.

Sounds like Botulism to me also we use to have treatment in the duck sticky but I can't bring it up so here is a thread that gives treatment options read down a ways on it.
