Female or male?

My chicks are growing up, and I am wondering if I can identify their gender at an early age. I heard that you might be able to find out by the way feathers grow. The chicks are shown in pictures.

Although feather sexing works with some breeds, it does have to be done early on within days of hatching is what I’ve heard. But hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you out.

If the bottom chick is a sexlink, it's a rooster. Red sexlink roosters are yellow.

I can tell you the second chick is male.

Purebreds, & mixed breeds.

You'll know for sure at about 4-6 weeks by comb size and color.
