Have you ever seen this?

i don't blow them out. I tried once and found it too fragile, it just crumbled! The insides just dry out. Sometimes you can shake them and they rattle a little, lol.
I did break my first one blowing it out, but I found a method that works. I actually use an electronics dust blower bulb so I don't have to put my mouth on them. :D

But if you do blow them, then you can string them like beads.
That's a great idea! I might do that.

@StinkyAcres , love your display! I need to do something cool with mine.
Thanks! It's a work in progress. I think I want a bigger display case so I can fit more chicken-related things.

This is incredible! All different colors, too. I'm guessing you drew the portraits?
Thanks! The portraits are by other BYC members, actually.

I'm looking at the left chicken and thinking, "Hm. She doesn't look very approachable." Then I noticed her name! 🤣
🤣 Her name was a bit misleading - she grew up to be a sweet and docile hen.

MIne broke as I was trying to make holes in hem, never got close to the blowing part! For full-size eggs I use a brass deck screw, very sharp, but my method is to tap, not drill. Always use Nature's methods, tap like the chick does it.

Ah, I've found it's actually better to sort of grind out the holes instead of punch them out. I use a small nail in the bottom and a pin at the top.
