Female Pekins mounting?!

Hello!
We have 2 female Pekin ducks around 24 weeks old, regularly laying and for the most part I would say happy. I have noticed that the one is constantly mounting the other in their pool like the male (he died) used to do to try to mate. Is this normal behaviour for two females?

I've read on this site before that its a dominance thing. Girls will mount girls to show who the dominant one is.

I don't know how much of a dominance thing it is, Ours seem to all take turns. I would say yes it's normal behavior with Drakes around or not.

yes it’s normal, but not a dominance thing. we have two girls with a drake, he mates them but they also mate each other. our other two boys are seperate from the girls and always “flirt” with each other by doing head bobs
