We are putting in fence around the chicken coop, will be building a house for the ducks, and the peas only need a winter shelter-the rest is built. Anyway, we are making it 40X150ft. There will be 20 chickens and five ducks, possibly the peas, too. Is that a large enough fenced area for them to free-ish range?

My Feist/Beagle mix tried to eat a duck and one of my standard poodles actually caught a guinea and injured it so that we had to put it down.

So the birds need a safe, comfy place, away from the dogs. Is this area fenced going to be big enough?
Pardon me for repeating, I'm just anxious to know whether this will work or not. Thanks!

I have 24 turkeys in an area about the same sq.ft. Believe it or not, there is still (some) grass in it after several months.
