Fencing in a portion of lake...

Has anyone put in a fence in their pond or lake to section off a portion for domestic waterfowl? My extra drakes are going out to a friends lake but unfortunately the neighbors dog is trying to ruin any chance at free ranging so the run is getting extended out into the lake so they can safely have the option of land and lake play. Any advice and pictures are welcome!

Took me a while to find this. This is NOT mine, but it is posted somewhere on this site. I had saved this picture, because I always wanted to do something like it.
I remember the ducks' "house" was on land, to the left, and could be opened into the water, or onto the land. I think the portion out in the water, the piece of wood laying flat on the surface, could be opened and closed by draw-string.
I'm still looking for the actual thread.

Thanks so much! This is perfect. I was really shocked at the lack of ideas Google had so I was hoping someone had something on here. I will try and hunt some more on this topic on this site but I haven’t turned up anything yet. It is always fencing AROUND ponds.

I know, right! I didn’t want to fence my whole pond either! I’ve still been looking for the original thread, (asked for help from some friends that may remember more details) I do remember he posted a bunch of pics for us, but it was a few years ago and I can’t remember anything specific to find it!
