All of my older hens (4yrs) can jump on top of a 6 foot fence. I have 6 EEs, RIR and black sex links. We keep them in with fainting goats. I had to clip their wings. They don't mind at all and are happy to peck around in their enclosure.
Edited to say: I have never had an issue with predators while keeping my hens with the goats. We have an aggressive and very smelly buck goat, which i think is the reason why. We also do not close their coop at night and often the hens sleep next to the goats in their shed.
