Feral rooster

I woke up this morning to a rooster in my backyard. I do not own a rooster. This guy was at the coops side waiting or possibly trying to get in? I have been hearing him for a month now crowing in the trees by my house. I think someone dumped him he doesn’t look a year old spurs haven’t come in. He’s been pacing the front and back trying to get to the girls. Calling for them. The girls have been making a fuss too.If I can catch him I can re-home him but I’ve had no success so far.

Are you able to keep him? If so, rescue the bird!

My first thought is get that diseased thing into quarantine lol and away from your ladies lol. He may look healthy but there is no telling what diseases or parasite he has. Set up a separate pen away from yours and quarantine him or have him removed. He does look pretty, as callus as I sound I’d probably try to save it lol.

I could but he is too loud. There is a lady I know that is willing to keep him if I can catch him.

Lol, my girls stayed in the run while we tried to catch him. No success so far. He’s gone over the fence. I don’t know what he might be carrying. He’s just looking for some ladies to love I suppose.

Update! Finally caught him! He’s been at large for about a month. Hopefully he will be going to his forever home tonight.
