feral tom cat

It was time to move the hen and her chicks to the large coop, she was acting alittle strange about locking up in the small coop, and I didn't want her roosting them in the trees again.
Well she's been locked in for 3 days now to rehome them, and since it's raining I figured one more day won't hurt. I had just watched a cat sneak into the coop, so I guess that's why she wasn't wanting to be in the other coop, glad it was really predator proof...by the way...the predator is no more.

Thats the right word for that Tom cat, predator.Plenty around here don't believe cats will kill a full size chicken.I had a cat kill two full grown... big... NH Reds two yrs ago.I'd do the same as you if i saw a cat prowling around my birds...!

if only I know how to tan skins... I would've made a few blankets out of the ferals around here...
