Fermented chick food/barley

I just did my first 5 gal bucket mixed with chick food/corn/barley and this morning when I removed the lid (was not on tight) it was bubbling as I was stirring the pot. I will start my second 5 gal pail tonight. I hope this works as they explained. At least I can give them my left over barley grain from brewing beer to my chicks safely. Thanks so much for the Tidbit on fermenting. I think everyone should research this feed method.

Thanks, I even added 1/4 cup of unfiltered vinegar to the mix.

As long as you save a little feed in the bottom of the bucket, you'll never have to add vinegar again.
