FERMENTED FEEDS...anyone using them?

You can ferment starter. Either way works to the same effect...

I ferment with ACV. babies love it they get about 5 spoon fulls 3 times a day...they were getting only 2-3 spoonfulls on sat. they are getting big already I start feeding about 12 hrs after. even though it's not fully fermented I fill enoughto last about a week so not a big deal.

Thank you !! This was their first feeding. I took the dry out. Took them a few minutes to investigate it. But now they attack it although I did learn not to put it under the heat lamp....will dry out!! lol

I use water straight out of the tap. I don't let it sit out or dechlorinate it or anything.

I am on a well so this is not an issue for me either, but I am sure it is for some as chlorine can mess with ferments in general.

My chicks have also been eating fermented starter food for 3 days and are loving it. My 4 older girls have been on it for 1 1/2 years and are doing really well, so I really wanted to get my chicks on it too. They love eating a bit of it out of my hand. I forgot how much fun baby chicks are.
