Fermenting feed

My FF got started better without the ACV in it. Just food and water mixed into an oatmeal consistency. I started seeing bubbles after just one day.

Yea, I don't uce ACV in my FF either, I just use it in my water.

Well after day three, I have bubbles and my 2 wk old chicks are eating it like there is no tomorrow. Now it's just they are eating it all gone and I don't know if I am feeding enough. Thanks for all the info.

I feed them as much as they can eat. If their plate gets empty, I give them more.

Okay this time I measured out what I normally give them in dry feed, minus a few ounces. It certainly made A LOT of FF. I gave it all to them, and they ate every bit. As of 2pm, there were already 13 eggs. Much better than it has been for the last several days. Apparently, I was not giving them enough of the FF.
