That's it, I'm reporting this thread. It's against the rules to talk about cute baby animals without attaching pictures to the thread. You're gonna get an earful from the mods when they hear about this one!

Since the Op appears to have left us all to wait in pictureless sorrow I will attempt to answer this as best I can.

Ferrets do need shots particularly distemper. They are the most fun and wonderful animals but are prone to bowel obstructions(costly surgery) Also if they live long enough(which they should if cared for properly) they almost 100% of the time develop adrenogland(sp?) disease and then require meds for the rest of there lives.

The last ferret I purchased was from a pet store she was an unaltered female and the pet store was not aware that she would HAVE to be bred or spayed. I couldn't believe the irresponsibility, selling unaltered females and not telling the buyers this most important fact. I bought her as she was the last girl gave the pet store workers a talking too and felt sad for her sisters that w=ere sold before I got there.

They are wonderful but need committed/financially responsible owners. I don't have mine anymore, all 3 have passed away to old age.

Some day I will get another 1 or 2......sighs
