Fertile Egg Hatch Rate Poll

I'm curious as to what other peoples fertile hatch rate is on an average using artificial incubation. Only eggs from your own flock or a neighbor since shipped eggs can be a problem.

Infertile (clear eggs) don't count since they had no chance at hatching to start with and out of our control. Quitters should be counted because the incubation process is under our control.

So far I've had good ones and bad ones.
I've had 33%, 50%, 60%, 67%, 71% hatch rates from good eggs. Average of 56% fertile egg hatch rate.

I just finished a hatch, It was my first one. 2 out of 3 fertile eggs hatched. The one that didn't was very developed but just never pipped

Oh yes maybe should have specified. It is artificial as in using an incubator.

Then usually it's about 75-80%

I get higher hatch rates from my own birds then from shipped eggs. My eggs I normally get a 70-80% rate.

Shipped eggs are a bit of a problem for some or most so it should be your own eggs.

You guys must hatch alot and it is understandable why the high rate.

All the eggs I hatched from my own flock has been 100% this year. No loss or quitters.
