fertile eggs

Not sure if I am in the right place. After the cock is put with the hens, how many days till the eggs are his off-soring? and how long will the hens be fertile after they are away from the cock?

I do not know how long it takes for the eggs to become fertile, but after you seperate, then the hens will remain fertile for about 2 weeks.

If the hens haven't been with another rooster, I'd give a week for good fertility...not sure of time line if another rooster has been with them...and I've always been told up to 3 weeks after the rooster being in with them...

I started collecting eggs 3 days after my hens had been with their roo. Those eggs are on Day 6 in the incubator right now, and look to be growing great.
