fertile eggs

The eggs they are selling there are fertile but not yet started to incubate, so all of the embryo is just a few cells. When hatching eggs are sold they can't start the incubation because of the unknown lenght of time till the buyer can put them in their incubator. In this world of rules and laws I wonder if where you are Rorie, is there maybe a rule or law you can't ship eating eggs through the post?

I was thinking about keeping a roo this year--I have couple of very pretty boys, but I wondered if the buyers at the farmer's market would notice the difference. My Mother always told me that the little speck of blood in the egg ment it was fertilized. True? Anyone have any trouble selling fetilized eggs at the market?

Blood spots have nothing to do with fertilized eggs. They are normal in fresh eggs, just a little blip in the hens reproductive tract. You will not notice if eggs are fertile or not if you are frying them up or whatever
