Is there a way to tell if my eggs are fertile or not fertile while they're still in the shell? I have one rooster and 9 hens. I'm thinking about incubating some eggs, but I want to make sure they're fertile before I put them in the incubator, so how can I tell if they are or not?

there isn't anyway to tell if they are fertile till you incubate and then it usually takes about 7 to 10 days before you can tell which ones are fertile then you will candle them and look for red spider veins or a dark spot on the egg shell if its clear its probably not fertile

The fertile egg should look like a white bullseye the infertile one should just look like a kind of white blob, hope this helps :)
