I would like to save around a dozen or so scovy eggs to hatch but out of my 3 girls I'm only getting an egg a day. How long is a muscovy egg fertile for and how long (days, weeks?) after separating the drake will their eggs still be fertile? Thanks everyone

I believe it's 2 weeks on average. some have seen up to 1 month with still fertile eggs.

if you're asking how long they'll be good for after getting collected though, I would say if you're incubating, only 2 weeks(and thats probably pushing it). but think of mommas, they lay up to 20+ eggs before they set soemtimes and have amazing hatch rates, lol.

After three weeks with no drake present, fertility drops dramatically. If eggs are kept in a cool (not cold) environment and turned daily, they will remain viable far past the two week period usually recommended. Seven to ten days is probably better for shipped eggs.
