fertility question - getting rid of rooster

so ... i have to get rid of my rooster tonight

i have start gathering eggs to hatch --- how long do i have before the eggs are no longer fertile?



i.e. will she still be laying fertile eggs in 5-10 days?

hey can stay fretal for up to 14 days but there is no garanty on fertillity

The recommended time period for changing from one rooster to another (in other words, to guarantee it's the new rooster's sperm fertilizing eggs) is three weeks.

I lost my Blue JG roo about a month ago, Mrs. Fluffy Puffy is stil producing JG X Mixes.

I figure 7 days from last mating if I'm collecting for the bator (like you are) and 3 weeks if switching roos and wanting to be fairly sure the new roo is the daddy.

took the roo to auction --- sold for $4 ... minus 25% comission = $3 = 3 cheesburgers at mcdonalds

lol ... the one we sold was named noodles ... as in chicken noodle soup


but you got it .... gonna hatch the BR/RIR eggs and if we get a roo it will be cheeseburger​
