Fertility?

Was wondering if some of you could help me out with a question?

How long will a hen lay fertile eggs after a rooster is removed? I've heard about 2 weeks, but would like to know for sure if anyone of you know.

WOW 2 weeks really???? I thought or assumed about the next 3 eggs, but don't really know.
