Fertilization

One if he is actually breeding and she doesn't reject his deposit. Open eggs up and wait until you see bullseye yolks
I know this message is a few months old, but it leads to my question. My rooster is actively breeding with 3 of my hens. I've opened a few eggs that had signs that they were fertile. Since my hens aren't broody, Mother Nature clearly won't follow up on this. So say I put eggs in an incubator and they hatch. I can't just add those chicks to my flock, right? What is the next step after you hatch eggs?

You have to brood them yourself until they're old enough to begin introducing them to the flock
