Fertilized egg?

As a newbie, I'm not sure... Also I was pretty sure my flock of 13 (all about 20 weeks and only 3 laying) were ALL hens! I'm super excited if this means I have a rooster!!!

I cracked open 2 more this morning and they looked the same?

That's definitely too big of a spot to be infertile! They're definitely fertile

ok the pictures here are of the "hens" I know are not laying eggs or do not do that "squat" thing when we touch their backs...

#1 this one is still trying to grow in his/her feathers, it was pretty small and sickly as a baby and was pecked horribly by the others for a while





#2 this one has a very thick and bulky body







#3 my kids swear this one squats and has been spending time in the nesting boxes... but this is my most vocal of the group









#4 this one kind of avoids everyone and sticks to her/his self a lot





#5 This one is on the top of the pecking order but tends to "mother: our tiny bantams (which I know are hens, they are laying)

This one is actually the one I think is my Roo, except... we have his/her sister and she is laying eggs, they have identical bodies/feathers/combs/waddles the ONLY difference is this one has long dangling ears?









nobody "crows" yet, infact all of my chickens chatter and gripe constantly. and they ALL seem to take care of and protect each other?
