Hi everyone! I am a new member and new chicken owner. Received 3 day old baby chicks at beginning of April. I ordered a black australorp, but, as the chickens are now 3 months old, I see that my "she" is probably a "He", crowing and sporting long tail feathers, and is not a autralorp, but a plymonth barred rock!!! Don't want to get rid of "HIM or "Her", but my husband thinks the eggs will be "gross" to eat. Any suggestions?

Welcome to BYC. There is no difference whatsoever, the eggs taste the same and are delicious.

[IMG] and [IMG] from Ohio. So glad you joined. It is all in the mind. I have bought eggs from the store in the past that were fertile also.
