Fertilized or not?

I think I see a bullseye but I'm not so certain about this one...
 
I have heard from other folks on here that you can't be sure about fertilization by seeing a bullseye. If you have a rooster with your hens and there isn't more than a 1:10 ratio, he is proficient and under 4 years your eggs should be reliably fertile.

I do have a sillke rooster but he has a really hard time getting on the larger females he just falls right off haha
I believe he's finally started breeding with the other silkies but I really wish for a silkie x golden wyandotte mix
 
Mmmm, yes that makes sense. The only way to know for sure it to incubate. If he gets them even just one time they are fertile for a while.
 
Maybe breeders have a method that you could do manually. That sounds a little gross, but so many things in chicken keeping already are. 😅
 
Well, even if this one isn't fertilized, I can confirm they are now
My rooster was crowing when it suddenly trailed off weirdly. i looked down, and there he was mating one of the silkies (thankfully quick and non violent)
guess he's finally given up on trying with the big hens haha
